CNN Pokes Fun at Itself in New Commercials

Who says the news isn't funny? CNN's new commercials use the cable network's talent to poke fun at itself. Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, Lou Dobbs, Paula Zahn and Christiane Amanpour all star in various commercials that are generating quite a buzz.
The commercials work because they take a lighter look at the news and allow the anchors and reporters to connect with viewers. Instead of making the anchors feel like they're unapproachable, CNN presents them as everyday people trying to impress the average viewer. They're hip and humorous and can help CNN regain some of the viewers lost to Fox News Channel.
