Attention-span and heavy criticism aren't the only issues plaguing McMahon's creation. The XFL's affiliation with the WWF also brings the league's legitimacy into question.
Many people worried XFL games would mirror the WWF.
However, anyone who watched could tell it wasn't choreographed. Of course, rehearsed touchdown passes while the opposition blitzes are pretty hard to come by even with the most talented players.
McMahon says the WWF moniker attached to the XFL is a plus, not a negative. However, it looks like the XFL is trying to shed the WWF black sheep behind his back.
Visit the XFL's Web site and see for yourself. Besides a thumbnail link to the WWF's Web site halfway down the page, you won't find any trace of McMahon's other baby.
Now visit the WWF's site. You'll find all sorts of XFL news scattered throughout the site, even banner ads directing you back to the league's official site.
If you're a WWF fan, you'll notice the XFL being touted during your favorite weekly programs like Smackdown! and Raw. But you won't hear references back to those shows during XFL coverage.
